Laura grew up in Pennsylvania and she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Penn State University. She always had an interest in helping others, which is why she started her career as a social worker, helping to coordinate mental health resources for children and their families. Laura moved to North Carolina with her husband, Ross, about 16 years ago to be closer to his family. She began work at Lincoln Financial Group and worked there for 7 years. While working at Lincoln Financial in the complex claims division, Laura became interested in the legal field and made the decision to continue her education. She enrolled in Elon University School of Law and received her law degree in 2016. After law school, Laura spent the next seven years working in business law and assisting her husband with multiple businesses that he owns. A passion for helping people brought Laura to The Elderlaw Firm because she finds the work of the firm both meaningful and necessary. Laura and her husband, Ross, live in Greensboro with their three children. All of their children are enthusiastic about sports so they spend most of their free time watching them play or traveling to their games.
